The whole 'girl gamer' thing reinforces the idea that women don't have any interests of their own. When instead of talking about 'why oh why is yoshi's island ds so hard' or 'the wii sucks/the ps3 sucks/the xbox360 sucks', you turn the conversation to HEY, LOOK AT MAH BOOOOBS!! it sounds like you only game for male attention instead of ACTUALLY ENJOYING GAMING. and that hurts women who aren't desperate for attention and actually enjoy having fun[which I submit are the majority].
