Also, on Silver Rights, everyday bigotry gets a drubbing. A common joke I have made about this sort of thing is that a white guy could burn a cross on someone's lawn and kill a black dude, and white folks would be arguing about whether that was racist or not because he wasn't wearing his hood. (Yes, I'm not funny, but internally, the image of the white folks arguing about a hood while crosses burn is slightly funny, for reasons unbeknownst to me) It's just like, it doesn't matter about the cosmetics- the effects would be that a black man would be dead and a neighborhood would be terrorized. I had a point, but I forgot it.
