You know, I was reading this thing on homeschooling. I have to admit I'm not a fan. It seems to me that one parent would have to stay home and school the kids, and what would the parent[probably the mom] say when they try to get back into the workforce? Not to mention the issue of the average sort of person trying to work through the financial issues. *isn't amazing, so always assumes that for most people staying at home and schooling the kids all day and then working at night would not be very possible]
Humanity critic's annoying comments on twitter:
Stripper: Why haven't we hung out yet? Me: I wear riot gear with regular chicks, I'd have 2 fuck you through a hyperbolic chamber. No thanks
What, you got something against strippers, dude?
I'm glad the roofing crew had a sense of humor. When I saw that some of them were Mexican I came out wearing a surgical mask. They laughed
Probably to cover up annoyance from you being such a dick.
Me:This is no good/ Woman: Why?/ Me: Because if this is how you keep your house, I can just imagine the state of affairs your vagina is in
I have no idea what he's talking about, but it sounds woman hating.
*unfollows with soul cleansed*

I love this open letter about invisible disabilities. I'm not even really sick, and sometimes I'll be able to do things, and sometimes I won't. It's all a matter of if my brain is working that day,ok?

As usual, I was arguing with nezua on the twitter. We were complaining about how people who go around fucking people in their sleep are giant jerks. Nezua and I parted ways on the consenting partners thing though. While I can see some couples having perfectly fine agreements to wake each other up with sex, I can see a whole lot of ways that we have an agreement could end up fucked up.
For example, one partner could think 'well, her nipples got all hard, so she's totally into it' or maybe one time one partner was into the sleep sexing, but sometimes they have a big test and don't want to be woken up with the peen. I can just see a million ways folks could say 'we have an agreement' and folks end up feeling hurt or violated. So remember folks, talk about under what conditions you want to be fucked in your sleep. Mine are 'under no conditions, fucker. I need that sleep'

I know a person who is so awesome, she interns at the center for independent living and goes to Washington to protest with ADAPT, a disabilities rights group.

Heh, this guy is way oversharing on twitter. Keep your apocalyptic stroke fantasies in a paper journal.

I think the one sentence of this article makes me think of a crucial shift in our thought about sex. 'We don't want to give up what turns us on' I first started thinking about this...well, OK, I have to admit my guilty pleasure. I like reading Pandagon. Despite being too lazy to raise anyone's consciousness, I still feel sort of bad. Anyway, I was reading about how Eliot Spitzer thinks springing his choking fetish on prostitutes is a totally sensible thing to do.
I think that what turns us on is considered too important in our society. Yes, choking prostitutes and not using a condom[possibly exposing them to some diseases] might have turned Elliot Spitzer on, but I think other considerations should have come first, like was the woman fully prepared for the scene, health risks, etc. It's all right to be turned on by certain things, but you need to look beyond the orgasm. Our culture encourages us to stop at the orgasm, and not see beyond it. And I think it's bad for everybody.

In a positive story about black culture, photos of area teens dancing and distignished African ladies hit the commercial appeal for coverage of the africa in april festival.
Yesterday, I saw The African Company Presents Richard the Third., and it made me think about how art can be a method of gaining freedom. In the play, the characters talk about how their play gives them the ability to let people dream. Jimmy does a scene in which he describes being heckled for doing Hamlet and told to sing possum in a gum tree. He performs it, but even though I don't know the history of the song, the dramatic way in which it was performed, certainly shows him subverting that racist image.
At the end of the play, the characters decide to take what they have learned from the drama of Shakespeare, and create characters that they themselves can be. I liked how the drama of Richard the Third in the play was both universal and quite specific. The way Ann and Jimmy's characters in the play and their real relationship meshed was beautiful.
In other news, Collierville finally provides drainage for mostly black area.

I'm against viewing porn at work. Why? I must hate sex and men, right? No...it's because I don't want to be hearing some 'Oh, ghetto bitch, you're such a hot slut' when I'm trying to do some work. I especially don't want to know that you want to see hot teens with tight pussies being fucked. There are some boundaries we need to have in the workplace, and your sex life is one of them.
When you're looking at porn and getting all aroused, that's way way too much information. Not to mention, I don't want to get into a big thing about how watching stuff by some girl raping pervo[*cough* girls gone wild *cough*] isn't exactly showing much respect for women.

Consolidation causes angry internet flamewar.
Several hot buttons:
OH NOES, OUR SCHOOLS!!!: Despite schools such as White Station, etc, being run by the city, people believe that by having less bureaucracy, our schools will be RUINED!!!
Why don't you salty salty snacks stay in your own cracker barrel towns and get your own jobs instead of commuting and complaining?: OK, maybe that's self explanatory.
OH NOES, THE CORRUPTION/THE MAYOR: Dudes, if you want a different mayor, you have to vote. By moving instead of voting, you entrench the mayor. Duh!
TEH CRIME: You know, criminals have cars, too. We can't fight crime by sitting on our asses and bitching.

Some asshole thinks that folks who are all about expressing sexuality will let him get away with upskirt perviness. He is oh oh so wrong. Keep your sexuality off my body, or I'll rad fem kick ya!

Total pervs violate women's privacy. *shakes head* I have nothing intelligent to say about this, but this probably has something to do with the idea that a woman's body is public property.

The alternative school system in Desoto has been under suspicion of racial tracking.
In the print version of the appeal, the new information was a seperate story, but on the web, they merely added the information about the choking of a 15 year old to the old story. Personally, I'm not seeing how we can justify choking a 15 year old. Also, what's with the Memphis students pollute 'our' schools shit in the comments? Why don't you guys stop adding to the decay of society? Much more on why that is later.

Legal recourse for children physically and verbally abused by police. There is a stupid comment that I want to address. Let's take the premise[not necessarily true] that these children's parents were bad parents. Does that give the police the right to abuse children because they think their parents are bad parents? And how would the police know who is a good parent and who is a bad parent? If a child's parent is a secret sexual abuser[i.e. a bad parent] should we hit the kid in the face?
I don't think alternative school automatically means bad parent, BTW, but even if it did, why not help them with parenting rather than having the police hit their kids?

It's sad how this woman thinks her daughter's body is only of value for sexual and reproductive use. She should have respected her daughter's wishes not to have sex with her boyfriend.
Oh, Tennessee! We need our guns everywhere!

I'm laughing at people who complain that people think that four year old blowjobs are gross. I'm not saying you're not allowed to write disgusting stories, but there's no need to post your child molestation stories on places that aren't spaces for child pervos, you know. I don't like child molestation porn fanfic. Yea, I think a kink is not OK. Cut and cry.

Personally, I don't think sex is an essential part of our happiness, etc. Not only are there asexuals, there are people with low libidos, people who are perfectly happy to have sex once in a while, but aren't going to die if they don't have sex. Personally, I think there's too much emphasis on sex in today's society. Sex is fun, but it's like eating chocolate. I like eating chocolate, but I'm not going to die if I don't eat chocolate for a month.
Also, we learn how institutional codes make us more lonely in the story is harbor town illegal?
Zoning codes regulate sprawl- driving us away from each other on racial and class lines. But if we make it more legal to not sprawl, will we come back together? I don't know.
Oh yeah, and yesterday I thought that I wanted to repay the love I was given somehow, even though I don't have the strength or talent.

This is why we can't have nice things. Social workers already have high caseloads as it is. You can't throw out every girl who had fun at parties in college, you know. We need to start worrying more about talent, and less about how back in college, her ass looked really good in shorts.
